Multiactivity holidays in Bohemian Switzerland National Park

Itinerary:

Day 1: Individual arrival to Děčín

Arrival to Děčín. Possible flight to Prague or Dresden; personal transportation to Děčín on demand. We have carefully chosen the accomodation in a family run hotel with a lovely child playground. There is a wellcome meeting with the local guides in the evening. You have got a chance to learn about the itinerary and all the adventure awaiting you.

Day 2: Rafting and cycling inclusive a lunch basket

The deepest sandstone canyon in Europe is a great place for a mesmerizing white-water rafting tour. Even small children can join in the fun; the water is calm and your family can enjoy a harmonious paddle on the river. Weird rock formations, climbing walls, and forests line the Elbe River all along the route. The ride downstream ends in the spa town of Bad Schandau on the German side of the border. This beautiful small town is a great place for a cup of coffee on the quay. We will deliver bicycles and a picnic basket full of local goodies, so you can enjoy a relaxed lunch on the riverbank. Then you'll cycle back on the attractive Elbe cycling trail.

Day 3: Via Ferrata

Today brings an amazing adventure right in the heart of Děčín, the adrenaline headquarters of Bohemian Switzerland. A large via ferrata course awaits you in the center of town, with routes for everyone from beginners to experienced climbers. Our guide will explain everything, familiarizing you with the equipment and how to use it, demonstrating climbing technique, and guiding you safely along the wall. Kids are welcome.
In the afternoon you can learn about the town of Děčín and its history. A treasure hunt with a hidden story awaits you in the town's historical center and municipal parks. Our unique mobile application will be your guide. Everyone in the family can join in. So grab your smartphone and come discover the town's ancient secrets and legends. Or would you prefer to relax at the city pool with its geothermal water and toboggans?

Day 4: River cruise and walking tour in the National Park Bohemian Switzerland

The day starts off with a cruise on the Elbe. From aboard ship you can enjoy the Elbe canyon once again. The walking part of the tour takes off at the picturesque village of Hřensko. The path brings you to Edmund's Gorge, where you hop onto a flat-bottomed boat on the Kamenice River, where the boatman takes you through the sandstone gorge. Upon alighting, you'll hike up to the biggest natural sandstone arch in Europe, Pravčická brána. Here you'll follow in the footsteps of storyteller Hans Christian Andersen, who searched for inspiration in this romantic countryside.

Day 5: Free day

Take the opportunity to set your own program. Enjoy an activity with us; we can provide you with equipment, guides, maps, trip hints. Or just relax.

Day 6: Scooter trip and road downhill

Today you'll take off on a scooter trip from the top of the highest tabletop mountain in the Czech Republic. We'll drop you off near the top, where you'll see panoramic views of the miraculous landscape of the national park, the undulating Czech highlands, and the Ore Mountains. You can also visit the unique rock formations in nearby Tisa. Finally, a 12 km downhill ride on a scooter along a cycling trail brings you back to Děčín. Fancy a longer trip? No problem, there are several scooter trails of various lengths to choose from.

Day 7: Walking tour in the National Park Bohemian Switzerland

Today's walking tour in the national park takes you further into this beautiful, untamed landscape. Wild sandstone formations will frame your walk on nature trails that run from deep dells to rocky peaks. You'll descend into the Pavlinino údolí gorge, where you will come upon the Kamenice River. This cold stream takes you to the traditional heart of the national park, the village of Jetřichovice. From here you will ascend to a breathtaking ridge above sandstone towers, where you'll get a bird's eye view of Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland.
